Bath spars with Brighton and Aberdeen
Source: http://www.ukpropertyshop.co.uk
Bath is no stranger to the Top 50 most fancied places to live in the Towns League Table published by UK Property Shop and weighed in with top points once again in September. Bath, Aberdeen and Brighton constantly vie with each other to lead the heavyweight section of this league and these three great British towns are head and shoulders above the rest.

Well known for its historic Roman Baths, after many years Bath now boasts what is described as "the only Spa in Great Britain to offer bathing in natural spring waters". Over 1 million litres of mineral-rich water are said to flow from the thermal springs each day, at an average temperature of 45C or 113F. The thermal waters were used for many years in Bath to treat rheumatic and muscular disorders, as well as skin ailments and respiratory problems. You can also taste the water for yourself, although you should be prepared for its "distinctive" aroma. The city's famed stone architecture and commercial centre is a magnet for tourists and shopaholics alike, while its two Universities bring an added dimension that helps to feed the buy-to-let market.

Note for Editors about the Moving Location Index and UK Property Shop

The UK Property Shop Moving Location Index is based on data from a sample of people looking to buy a property and using the website to register their property search requirements with estate agents in each town. From this data a score is calculated according to the number who are considering either moving within the town where they live, or away from their home town and into another town. The Moving Location Index is not a measure of quality, simply an indication of the relative proportion of home buyers wishing to move into or out of a town, which is influenced by many factors.

The UK Property Shop website www.ukpropertyshop.co.uk was launched in 1999 and is a popular source of information for people looking to buy, sell, rent or let residential property in the UK. It also publishes the National Directory of Estate Agents, the most complete and up to date register of all UK estate agents and letting agents.
