Home Information Packs required from June 2007

According to a government announcement, Home Information Packs will become a statutory requirement for all residential property sales as from 1st June 2007. The date was given by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and apparently came as a surprise to the National Association of Estate Agents, who expected to be given more notice and hoped the start date would have been at a quieter time of year, according to Peter Bolton King, chief executive of NAEA.
