Home prices continue to rise in 2006

According to Rightmove, the property listing service, sale prices for the average home have increased by over £2,000 since the beginning of 2006. This is based on an analysis of over 100,000 homes currently on the market.

They also report that the average number of properties available for sale through estate agents has fallen from 65 to 61 since last December and is the lowest since June 2004 when each estate agent had an average of just 56 homes on its books.
