Lowest rents in the south west of England

The south west has the lowest gross annual yield, which measures the amount of the purchase price of a property covered by the rent. According to research from the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), the annual yield in the south west is just over 4%, compared with more than 5% in other parts of England. Returns are even better in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
