Interest Rates held at 4.75%

The Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee has voted to maintain the official Bank rate, paid on commercial bank reserves, at 4.75%.

The minutes of the meeting will be published at 9.30am on Wednesday 20 September.

The previous change in interest rates was an increase of 0.25% to 4.75% on 3 August 2006.
