Bank of England maintains Bank Rate at 5.0%

The Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee has voted to maintain the official Bank Rate paid on commercial bank reserves at 5.0%.

The minutes of the meeting will be published at 9.30am on Wednesday 20 December.

The previous change in Bank Rate was an increase of 0.25 percentage points to 5.0% on 9 November 2006.
