Bank Rate stays at 5.5%

The Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee has voted to maintain the official Bank Rate, paid on commercial bank reserves, at 5.50%.

The minutes of the meeting will be published at 9.30am on Wednesday 20th June.

The previous change in Bank Rate was an increase of 0.25% to 5.50% on 10th May 2007.
