Bank of England keeps Bank Rate at 5.75%

The Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee today voted to maintain the official Bank Rate paid on commercial bank reserves at 5.75%.

The minutes of the meeting will be published at 9.30am on Wednesday 17th October.

The previous change in Bank Rate was an increase of 0.25% to 5.75% on 5th July 2007.
